Dame Professor Georgina Mace, F.R.S., O.B.E., died 19 Sep 2020, only one day after the world lost R.B.G. My heart is broken. Professor Mace was a giant, a trailblazer, a pioneer of a rigorous scientific approach to the conservation of biodiversity. She was instrumental in developing the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species.
